  • Simulation Overview:
  • In this simulation, you will meet with John Cunningham, Human Resources Assistant with Icon International. You are a new recruit in Icon’s Human Resources department and he will be meeting with you as part of the orienting process. He will specifically test your understanding of generations in the workplace.

Unit 2: Retaining the Generations (1 - 2 hours)

  • Identify incentives to attract and retain potential employees.
  • Identify incentives to attract and retain a member of Generation X.
  • Identify incentives to attract and retain a Boomer.
  • Identify incentives to attract and retain the e-Generation.
  • Identify ways to correct common managerial mistakes made with Generation X.

  • Simulation Overview:
  • In this simulation, you will meet with John Cunningham, Sue Bogner, and Shawna Wooden to solve the alarming employee retention crisis, especially for Generation X employees that exists in Icon International. Your goal during the meeting is to offer solutions to the problem and learn about the issues that affect Generation X.
