Are You Ready for Simulations in the Exam Process?
Microsoft has started implementing simulations during the exam process. Now, instead of strictly answering traditional test questions, you will have to prove your skills and perform critical IT tasks in a simulation. This allows Microsoft to better evaluate MCP candidates. In addition, hiring managers and employers are expected to appreciate that those who have achieved the MCITP certification have demonstrated their abilities during the process - not simply have memorized test answers.
While not yet commonplace, you can expect to see simulations in most MCP exams in the future. Because simulations will play a more prominent role during testing, it's important to choose a Microsoft MCITP training course that also emphasizes simulations. After all, practice makes perfect.
If you're going for a MCP or MCITP certification, it makes sense to embrace simulations. While it can be stressful in the exam room to have to perform critical tasks, it doesn't need to be. Simulations during your training will prepare you for this but more importantly, they will teach you. Nothing beats hands-on practice. Furthermore, in a simulation, you can make mistakes yet no real harm is done. Learning by trial and error is effective.
When you are choosing a Microsoft MCITP training course, look for one that contains simulations - even if the exam doesn't currently incorporate simulations just yet. You'll learn more efficiently and get hands-on experience.
