Microsoft Word 2007 Receives a Major Overhaul

Have your upgraded to Word 2007 yet? If you haven't done so yet but plan to in the near future, consider Microsoft Word 2007 training before you upgrade. Without training, you may be in for a shock - Word 2007 barely resembles its earlier versions.

The entire Office suite has made Microsoft Office 2007 training a necessity, even for existing users. That's because Microsoft has given its products a major overhaul. Many of the changes are cosmetic, giving the products a completely different look. However, one change has scattered the various tools which makes it hard for longtime users to find what they need.

For example, the new "ribbon" takes the old toolbar and menu system and changes it into a tabbed toolbar. Now, tabs contain groups of related tools. This one change only makes Microsoft Word 2007 training a good idea simply to help users find what they need.

Another change in Word 2007 involves the new document format. When you save your documents, they are saved in the .docx format. Unless your colleagues have Word 2007 of the viewer, they won't be able to open your documents. To get around this, save your documents in the older .doc format.
