The Cisco IP Telephony Part 1 training class allows you to learn how to troubleshoot Cisco's ISR routers. In fact, 2811s (complete with PVDM2-32 cards) are in place throughout our classroom network. You will get experience using recent stable IOS release 12.3.14T3, configuring CallManager 4.1, and exploring router DSP configuration.

We've made sure that each of our routers has 2xFXS, 2xFXO, and 2xT1 ports along with serial ports for WAN connectivity. Each pod includes internal and external phones. In addition the simulated PSTN is accessible through PRI ports and FXO ports as well as through all four clusters. These features provide failover scenarios for bandwidth and connectivity problems.

The instructor-led class allows you to build, and test, real dial plans and CoS solutions. The combination of classroom lectures and labwork provides you with extensive coverage of traditional telephony technologies.

What You'll Learn

You will also work with Windows 2000 and CallManager Monitoring Applications for monitoring and troubleshooting your IP telephony networks, and configuring Digital and Analog MGCP and H.323 Protocol Gateways, Intercluster Trunks, VoIP Gatekeepers, Dial Plan with Fail Over Capabilities, Calling Search Spaces and Partitions, Hardware-Based Conferencing, Custom Ring Types, Cisco IP Communicator, Music on Hold, SRST, and BAT and BARS.
