In addition, you will also learn about configuring and managing both autonomous and lightweight wireless networks.
The hands-on portion of the Cisco Wireless LAN Fundamentals v1.0 training class relies on the use of your own properly-equipped laptop. Bring a laptop installed with Windows 2000 or Windows XP, an available 32-bit Cardbus slot, and either a 9-pin serial port or USB-to-serial adapter. Make sure that you have administrator rights to the laptop because you will be installing drivers for the wireless card in class.
During the CWLF training classes, you will get an overview of Cisco Aironet WLANs and Cisco Aironet WLAN products. You'll discuss wireless bridges, Aironet Desktop Utility, Core Access Point and Bridge basic configurations, advanced feature set product administration, WLAN management solutions, Cisco Wireless Mesh Network installations, security, and site survey preparation, techniques, tools and utilities.
