What You'll Learn
During your training, you will learn about the CS-MARS solution and the various functions and features involving enterprise-level security information and security incidents. You'll learn the basic physical installation processes, how to add both Cisco and non-Cisco network and security devices into a Cisco MARS appliance, and how to set up security devices for generating note-worthy events that may suggest an attack scenario and allow MARS collect these events for further investigation. Other topics include attack mitigation and false positive confirmations, configuring your MARS appliance for performing incident investigations and mitigation, creating, viewing, and saving long-duration queries and reports, setting up the appliance for sending alerts, configuring rules for detecting noteworthy network activity patterns, and assigning event, services, addressing, and user information with the various management features found in the MARS appliance.
You will also learn how to set up hardware maintenance routines including data archiving, viewing audit trails, upgrading software, and hot swapping hard drives. By taking this course, you will gain an overall understanding of the MARS Global Controller and Log Parser Templates.Who Needs to Attend
