- In this simulation, you are
a Marketing Coordinator at Icon's Power Systems
division. It has been your lifelong aspiration
to live and work in England, and you are now
actively trying to take your career in that
direction. You are meeting with your immediate
supervisor, Robin Carlson, who has served
in many different capacities at Icon. You
are hoping that with her experience, she can
give you direction and hints about how to
network effectively. If you handle this meeting
appropriately, she will arrange for a meeting
with Drew Canfield, the Vice-President of
International Marketing, who is currently
working in England.
Unit 2: Seeking Career

meet with Alexis Bell, a Human Resources Assistant
in the Power Systems division of Icon. You
are hoping to determine the best way to advance
your career in the future. Alexis will ask
you a series of hypothetical questions designed
to test your knowledge of career development.
Through her questions and your answers, Alexis
will track your progress and determine your
strengths and weaknesses.
Unit 3: Developing Your
Career Network (1 - 2 hours)
- Identify steps of the process
for ensuring effective communication.

- Simulation Overview:
- In this simulation, you will
meet with Drew Canfield and Annette Aberdeen,
two employees at Icon's England division.
You were recently granted your transfer request
and are meeting to begin developing a new
career network. You are hoping that this meeting
will help you understand the communication
methods in the division in England, as you
realize that effective communication will
be vital to your success. You need to communicate
effectively during this meeting and begin
building strong relationships that will help
ease your transition.
