| SCNS Certification | The Security Certified Network Specialist (SCNS) certification is a must-have for IT pros who are entering the world of security. As the security industry moves quickly, skills require consistent validation. The SCNS credential is valid for two years from the pass date. SCNS is a required pre-requisite for going further towards the SCNP and SCNA certifications. The SCNS focuses on the critical defensive technologies that are the foundation of securing network perimeters, such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and router security. This certification tests the candidate's ability to work with, and implement, real world security technology. The exam is s designed to validate the foundational skills required by security professionals. |
| SCNP Certification | The SCNP is an advanced security certification designed to test knowledge of high-level security topics. As a Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP), you'll be recognized as knowledgeable regarding defensive security technologies, such as Firewalls and Intrusion Detection. The Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP) program focuses on the required elements of securing a network, such as securing Windows and Linux systems. The SCNP course picks up right where SCNS leaves off. Those intended to obtain the SCNP certification and will benefit from it are security officers, security professionals, site administrators, and anyone who has responsibility for their corporate network perimeter defenses and internal infrastructure integrity. |
As a Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA), you will be recognized as having advanced security skills and mastery of the technologies to build trusted networks. The SCNA program is about trust. Students will learn to work with a variety of hardware and software and gain an understanding of sound network security strategies and policies. Students should have completed the Security Certified Network Professional program or have equivalent experience. This is not an introductory level certification. Students need to understand the fundamentals of networks and networking as well as network security before attending any of the SCNA courses. Holding a SCNA certification proves your security skills to employers and other organizations. They will know that you possess important knowledge and skills relating to digital certificates and digital signatures, law and legislation issues, wireless security, forensics, biometrics, securing email, strong authentication, PKI policy and architecture, and cryptography. |
