The Computer Expert:

Michael Deskis brings twenty years of experience in the design, construction and implementation of mainframe and client-server application systems to the classroom. He has a wide range of experience including programming in COBOL, Assembler, C and Java, and database design and data warehousing. From large-scale mainframe operations to smaller client-server systems, Mr Deskis is able to articulate solutions for a variety of business scenarios as well as grasp the implications of system migrations.

He has worked closely with IBM using their Visual Warehouse product in the migration of legacy systems to smaller, user-responsive enterprise data warehouses that incorporate Java-enabled front-ends. He is one of the few individuals who are authorized by IBM to teach Visual Warehouse Business Intelligence and VisualAge for Java coursesin North America. In 1998, Mr. Deskis ranked in the top 3% of IBM's global instructors based on student evaluation forms.
