- In the simulation at the end of this unit, you are part of a team that will discuss how the company can establish itself in the Asian marketplace over the next two years. You've been briefed on the appropriate steps that must be taken to complete the globalization process. In this preliminary meeting, you will need to discuss the workforce and organizational changes that will need to take place over the next few months to ensure a successful reengineering of the company. You will also need to consider the dynamics of the global workplace throughout the discussion.

- In the simulation at the end of this unit, you act as the Director of Human Resources for Icon's Financial Services Division. You have been charged with the task of filling a new marketing management position in Frankfurt, Germany. In your first meeting, you will discuss the qualities a global manager should possess with Caroline Harris, the Director of Marketing, and Ronald Spear, a Marketing Manager who will be involved in this phase of the hiring process. Next, you will meet with Nathan Iverson, a Marketing Supervisor who has been with Icon for a number of years. Both you and Caroline will conduct Nathan's final interview for the international management position.

- in the simulation at the end of this unit, you will first meet with Lady Annette Aberdeen, the Marketing Communications Manager for Icon's London office, to determine the source of Market Research conflict by asking Annette a series of appropriate questions. Next, you will meet with both Annette and Eric James, a Market Research Manager, to resolve the conflict between their two departments. You will need to choose the appropriate strategy to manage the cross-cultural conflict.
